Kathleen
O’Hagan is an emerging artist, arts writer, and educator in Meanjin (Brisbane).
She graduated from a Bachelor of Visual Art (First Class Honours &
University Medal) in 2021. Her paintings visualise the fragility of self-image by abstracting reflections of daily travel and domestic routines. Her self-portraits veil and unveil their subjects to capture figments of transient moments and memories. In 2022, she staged her first two
solo exhibitions and her first exhibition as a solo curator in the Grey Street
Gallery, Land Street Gallery, and POP Gallery. She currently works at Ipswich Art Gallery as the Community and Public Programs Officer. She has previously worked at Caboolture Regional Art Gallery and Griffith University as a Sessional Academic.
